Thubten Künphen Ling

ཐུབ་བསྟན་ཀུན་ཕན་གླིང་།

In the high mountains of El Oro de Hidalgo, just two hours from Mexico City, lies the Gomde Mexico retreat center, a space of one hundred hectares of forests. In this place, the Thubten Künphen Ling temple will be built, a project guided by the vision of our precious teacher Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. 

Thubten Künphen Ling will have the capacity to accommodate around 900 people and will be built with the aspiration to benefit all sentient beings through wisdom, kindness, and compassion. 

 

Our goal is to hold the first one-month retreat in 2025. This will require the first floor of the temple to be ready by August 2025, so we need to begin construction no later than the beginning of January 2025.

Thubten Künphen Ling will be a sacred refuge for the study and practice of ancient philosophical and contemplative traditions originating in India and Tibet. Anyone who seeks to follow the footsteps of the masters of the tradition to transcend afflictions and develop their qualities is welcome. Today we will plant the seed that will benefit countless generations to come.
