There are also many volunteers who donate their time and energy to help Gomde with whatever is needed. Some of them have been at Gomde for just a few days, while others have been involved since the beginning.

No prior experience is required to visit Gomde; everyone is welcome. If you are attending a seminar, the seminar description will indicate whether any prior meditation experience is necessary.

The full name of Gomde is “Rangjung Yeshe Gomde,” which means "a place where one becomes familiar with the consciousness that naturally manifests." In general, we could also say that Gomde means "place of practice."
